Ordering
Placing, changing and paying for orders.
How do I place an order?
Choose your meals from this week's menu and tap Add to Cart. When you're ready, tap Review & checkout, enter the delivery details and pay by card.
When is the order cut-off?
Thursday 11:59pm (Melbourne time) for delivery next week, on Tuesday. The countdown at the top of the menu shows how long is left. Missed it? Call 0451 164 227 and we'll help if we can.
How much do meals cost?
Current prices are on this week's menu. Order a full meal set (main, soup and dessert) or choose mains, soups and desserts separately. Funded clients may pay less; see Funding.
Is there a minimum order or a subscription?
No minimum, no contract and no subscription. Order only the weeks you want.
Can I order for someone else?
Yes. Many orders are placed by family members or carers. Enter the address of the person receiving the meals and add any instructions in the order notes.
Does the menu change?
Yes. We run a four-week rotating menu, so each week brings different dishes.
Delivery
Where, when and how much.
Where do you deliver?
Brimbank, Wyndham and Maribyrnong council areas. Not sure if you're covered? Call 0451 164 227.
When will my meals arrive?
Every Tuesday. Your meals are cooked on Monday and delivered chilled the next day.
How much is delivery?
$13.95 per delivery, or free on orders over $150. You can also collect your order free from 393 Victoria Street, Abbotsford. See our delivery policy for details.
What if I'm not home?
Add instructions in the order notes, such as leaving the meals with a neighbour or in an esky. Meals must go into the fridge as soon as possible after delivery.
Meals & storage
Keeping and heating your meals.
How long do the meals last?
Up to 3 days in the fridge and up to 3 months in the freezer. Put them away as soon as they arrive. The use-by date is on every label.
How do I reheat my meals?
Remove the lid and microwave on high for 2–3 minutes from the fridge, or 5–6 minutes from frozen, stirring halfway. Make sure it's steaming hot all the way through. Don't put the containers in an oven or on a stovetop.
Who cooks the meals?
Our chefs cook everything in our own kitchen on Victoria Street, Abbotsford.
Are the meals safe for older people?
Yes. Our kitchen runs a food safety program on site. Every batch is recorded and traceable from supplier to your door, and meals are kept cold the whole way.
Diets & allergens
Finding meals that suit you.
What are bland meals?
Bland meals are low-salt versions of our mains and soups. Look for the Low salt tag on the menu. They are not minced or pureed.
Do you have lactose-free options?
Yes. Look for the No lactose tag on the menu.
How do I check for allergens?
Every meal is labelled with exactly what it contains, for example "Contains: milk, egg". Check each dish's details on the menu before ordering, and the label before eating. See Nutrition & allergens for more.
Do you make texture-modified meals?
Not currently. If you need minced or pureed meals, talk to your care provider about other options.
Funding
Using CHSP, Support at Home or NDIS. Full funding guide
How do CHSP clients get meals?
Through our partnership with AVWA (Australian Vietnamese Women's Association). Call AVWA on (03) 9428 9078 or ask your coordinator for a referral.
Do Support at Home clients pay anything?
Yes. You pay a contribution towards your meals and your funding covers the rest. Your provider confirms the amount, and we arrange billing with them.
I had a Home Care Package. Can I still use it?
Home Care Packages moved to Support at Home on 1 November 2025, and your funding carried over. Ask your provider to include Meal Fresh meals in your Support at Home plan.
Is NDIS funding available?
Our NDIS registration is in progress. Self-managed and plan-managed participants can contact us to check.
Can my case worker set it up?
Yes. Ask them to call 0451 164 227 or email hello@mealfreshkitchen.au.
